The Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting qualification specification for 2011-12 is now available on our website.
It is available for delivery from 1 September 2011.
What’s new?
As part of our annual review and feedback we received from you, improvements have been made to the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Sign Language Interpreting qualification. The main changes are:
- Assessment guidance notes have been improved and are now clearer and more detailed
- Knowledge and understanding are no longer assessed using the CAR form. These are now achieved through the assessment criteria
- Candidates must meet assessment criteria at least once. Qualification specification and CAR forms have been amended to reflect this change
- To achieve the full qualification, candidates must use the same two languages in every unit. For example, if English and BSL are the chosen languages the candidate can not change to BSL and ISL for any units.
