We are pleased to tell you that Signature recently became a member of the Disability Action Alliance steering group. We will attend our first meeting on Thursday 5 June.
The Disability Action Alliance was set up by the Office for Disability Issues (ODI) and brings together disabled peoples’ organisations with public, voluntary and private sector organisations. Together, they work to deliver actions at a national and local level that make a real difference to the lives of disabled people.
Signature Chief Executive, Jim Edwards, said : "Signature is delighted to be one of the newest members of the steering group. We look forward to helping the Alliance extend its reach with the not-for-profit sector.
"We'll also help it play a role in making sure everyone has equal access to information and communication. I hope our insight into the issues faced by deaf and deafblind people, and our experience of solving them in partnership with government and others, will be of benefit to all groups that face barriers."
