2020 has been a challenging year for us all. No one could have predicted the affects Covid-19 would have on both our personal and working lives. I know that much of your work relies on face to face contact with your students, which just hasn't been possible over the past few months.
I want to say thank you for sticking with us during this time, and for doing the best you can to support your students. Many centres took advantage of our free BSLHomework offer in April; almost 2000 students signed up and we received some fantastic feedback from those who used it for the first time.
Many centres adapted their teaching to include online learning; whether this be through virtual lessons, video calling with learners, or providing additional support materials, it was fantastic to see.
I would also like to thank you for being patient with us. Like many other businesses, we have needed to adapt to this new way of working in a short period of time. However, we are proud of the work we have continued to do, and of our staff who have worked tirelessly to support centres through this, even from home. We are all going through this together, and we are determined to adapt, and move forward stronger than ever.
Twelve months ago, we celebrated the launch of the Signature loyalty programme. This year, we will be honouring those centres who have reached their next milestone; these are 3, 6 and 10 years.
Although 2020 may not have turned out how any of us planned, we hope our loyalty programme is a reminder of how important centres are to us. Similar to last year, we encourage you to send in photos of staff with their new certificates. We will share these on social media as we receive them, so keep a look out! You can email your photos to communications@signature.org.uk
Once again, thank you for sticking with us, and for your continued hard work during these challenging times.
